Adds the recipients of the current message to SpamSieve’s whitelist. I have multiple (IMAP) accounts on my Mail config. I start with one message in my Spam folder, highlight, Train as Good, and end up with 2 identical messages in my Inbox. It combines the good properties of the above two approaches and adds some of its own. Spam messages can be deleted afterwards, or you can set SpamSweep up so it automatically trashes any spam message it finds. One little nag we had with it is that it only offers up two hotkeys to work with. I’ve noticed that messages are being duplicated when I use Train as Good on them. SpamSieve uses a statistical technique known as Bayesian analysis1. Spam messages can be deleted afterwards, or you can set SpamSweep up so it automatically trashes any spam message it finds. SpamSieve is a robust spam filter for major email clients that uses powerful Bayesian spam filtering. Whenever a message is marked as spam you'll get a little summary box about who the sender is, if the domain or relay have been blacklisted and what the Bayesian score is. You'll also be able to create a sender white list for extra precaution. This will help you not only block out recurring spam messages but also identifying email that you absolutely never want to be marked as spam. The best function of SpamSweep is probably being able to create custom filters. We liked being able to quickly switch by account though, and the little search box to quickly find specific email. While you can sort mail by sender and subject, it's a shame that you can not view messages by mail size. SpamSweep's interface is a little basic, yet it lets you quickly identify spam emails and separate them from clean messages. It seems to show that MailMate sent SpamSieve the message for analysis, and SpamSieve thought the message was spam, but MailMate did not record a spam score. ![]() Just in case SpamSweep also supports IMAP accounts. Set the mail client you use (up to seven to choose from, including Thunderbird, Apple Mail and Eudora) and what accounts you wish to filter to get it up and running.
